Granite State Organizing Project

Leadership development and training and shared services: gsop holds regular training sessions for volunteers. These trainings incude the basic principles of civic engagement such as public speaking, telling your story, turning problems into issues, building relationships and campaign planning. Additionally, gsop staff hold regular sessions on active bystander intervention and facilitated conversations on race.

Non-partisan voter engagement/election justice: granite state organizing project's staff and volunteers knock on doors and run phone banks to survey and talk with residents about their concerns. The staff and leaders build relationship with community members and inform them about their voting rights, including the right of returning citizens to vote and the right to request language assistance while voting. Gsop encourages all eligible citizens to exercise their civic duty and to participate in local government structures and vote in local, state and federal elections.

Immigrant community organizing: gsop members and allies from across the state work to ensure that none of our immigrant siblings ever have to "check in" at ice without our support. We hold vigils at the nh ice headquarters at least monthly and meet monthly to further our campaign for comprehensive immigration reform and a welcoming state. We hold leadership training in spanish and english to educate new american about covid, how to access health care and vaccines, as well as teach people their rights and responsibilities.
