GHEDC has been responsible for the community awareness and input component of several infrastructure and beautification projects in the area. As an example we were responsible to organize and conduct community planning and visioneering sessions for the development of a major street in south Los Angeles under the authority of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles. We seek to connect the community with environmental health and resource concerns through educational seminars training and outreach efforts to promote greening projects.

GHEDC constructed and maintains 92 units of multi-family housing for low-income residents in south Los Angeles. We have an additional 10 units where we offer a fresh start to families transitioning from homelessness and others with low-income housing needs.
