The Grant Park Conservancy is committed to the restoration, beautification and maintenance of historic Grant Park.

The grant park conservancy hosts programming and fundraising events to build awareness of the organization's role in restoring, beautifying, and maintaining grant park as well as to raise funds to support the gpc's work. Each year, the gpc hosts the summer shade festival, a free two-day festival in grant park where attendees enjoy live music, an artists market, and food trucks.the organization also hosts the canopy soiree event that includes dinner, music, and dancing.

The grant park conservancy works to create a world-class park by raising funds for and executing specific capital improvement and ecological projects to restore and improve the park's natural health and built environment. Projects include the restoration of historic structures, such as the 1927 milledge fountain, the circa 1890 lion bridge, and 1896 erskine fountain, and ecologial projects such as invasive plant removal, tree plantings and canopy care, and the disign, installation and maintenance of gardens at renovated sites, including a rain garden at the lion bridge and a daffodil project garden at the erskine fountain.
