To assist the granville fire department in the execution and performances of responsibilities to the citizens of granville with regard to the study and advancement of the science of fire prevention, protection and suppression; to buy, own, lease, rent and hold real and personal property and operate and maintain said property for the purpose of carrying out, advancing and accomplishing its purpose and objection; which may promote the interest of the corporation to the fullest extent.
