The Food Bank Program distributes USDA Commodities and emergency food to 23 food pantries in Siskiyou County. The Organization was designated by the State of California, and the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors, to operate this program.

Community Cafs in Siskiyou County at which seniors and non-seniors can enjoy congregate meals: one at the Mt. Shasta City Park and one at the Dunsmuir Community Center Building. Home Delivered Meals are also available to seniors residing within the four South County communities of Mt. Shasta, Weed, Dunsmuir, and McCloud, who meet home-delivery service criteria. All of the meals we offer feature complex carbohydrates, nutrient-packed vegetables, and healthy proteins. We also have options to meet common dietary restrictions, such as a diabetic or gluten-free diet.

Housing and rehabilitation programs writes and administers grants awarded to jurisdictions for housing rehabilitation of substandard homes occupied by low income residents of Siskiyou County. Focus is on health and safety issues, testing & removal of lead-based paint and asbestos, handicap accessibility, and major & minor repairs.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) provides funding and technical assistance to state and territory energy offices to help them advance their clean energy economy while contributing to national energy goals.The purpose of WAP is to increase the energy efficiency of homes owned or occupied by low-income persons, reduce their total residential expenditures such as heating and cooling bills, and improve the health and safety of families. Weatherization is the process of making your home more efficient, thereby reducing energy usage and costs. Some of the more common types of weatherization include: sealing the holes and cracks around windows, doors, and pipes, ensuring proper levels of insulation, fixing or replacing windows, putting an insulated blanket around your water heater and making sure your heating and air conditioning systems are working properly.

The Community Services Program Siskiyou County HIV/AIDS Foundation provides access to health care and support services for individuals who are HIV positive. The main purpose is to provide access to the needed services to keep each HIV positive individual medically, physically and emotionally stable. This is provided through ongoing case management by a team consisting of a social worker, a registered nurse, the clients medical doctor and an infectious disease specialist.

USDA Microentrepreneur Assistance Program provides public works and rural development projects including environmental review and prevailing wages. Working with local, rural communities, this program includes providing technical assistance in regards to water, waste water, solid waste planning, zoning matters, economic development concerns, grant administrative services, procurement of funding, project management and assistance with local boards and councils.
