Programs

3 programs

Critical repair program: our critical repair program is an outreach initiative that seeks to provide a wide range of opportunities for low-to-moderate-income homeowners, including veterans and seniors, who are struggling to maintain their homes because of age, disability or family circumstances. We partner with families to help them reclaim their homes with pride and dignity. The program allows families to stay in their home and avoid the uncertainty, trauma and expense of moving. Projects consist of interior and/or exterior repairs intended to alleviate critical health, life and safety issues or code violations. Volunteer teams work along with subcontractors under the direction of habitat's team members to complete the repairs. In the fiscal year 2024, we served 259 homeowners and their families.

Expenses: $2.7M

The restore is a discount home improvement center that sells new and used home improvement items to the public and funds are used to provide affordable housing solutions. In addition, the restore furthers the habitat mission by allowing families who do not have the funds toafford typical rehab opportunities to be able to fix up their own homes and has an environmental component by keeping items that would typically end up in a landfill in use. Our partner families are required to serve in the restore to learn valuable skills about customer service and home repair.

Expenses: $748K

Rental: habitat provides affordable rental housing units to families.
