The mission of the greater columbus chamber of commerce is to lead the columbus region as a catalyst for growth, economic opportunity, business strength and community engagement. The chamber is the first in georgia to receive 5-star accreditation from the u.s. Chamber of commerce.

Programs

Economic development - works directly with with ft. Moore and local governments in the region to enhance sustainability and economic development. The columbus 2025 plan is a collaborative community plan to create a more competitive and prosperous region. The guiding principles of the plan to are to increase prosperity, reduce poverty, and improve overall quality of life for a stronger and more vibrant region for decades to come.

Education and advocacy - encompasses activities that encourage the business community to become partners with schools in order to aid education in the columbus area.the partners in education program seeks to improve education by stimulating meaningful business and community involvement in public and private schools. The program now emcompasses over 300 partners and over 80 schools engaged across seven school districts.the workforce advisory council exists to develop and sustain a highly qualified and skilled workforce through education, training and dynamic partnerships that will lead the greater columbus region into a stronger economic future.
