Community outreach:safe, healthy, successful communities are ones in which neighbors know each other and look out for each other. The foundation believes in strengthening the community by providing opportunities for people to connect with one another. To that end, the foundation sponsored our annual halloween block party which brings hundreds of neighbors from the eastover neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods together and we also sponsored our annual easter party and egg hunt. In addition, the foundation has an ongoing partnership with casey elementary, a local neighborhood school, to support their programs and other needs. This year, we were able to support their programming and performances by replacing their stage curtains that were many decades old.

Expenses: $56K

Communication: vital to the success of any organization is the ability to communicate effectively. In addition to the numerous print communications that the foundation sends out to area residents, we also send electronic news and updates. This year, the foundation continued its support of a publication directed at our community that covers stories on residents and events in our area. We contribute content and publish a recognition list of our donors monthly. This communication brings neighbors together and strengthens our sense of community by featuring stories on the activities and accomplishments of residents, among other areas of interest to our community.
