Glhfc's mission is to improve and maintain the health of individuals and families in the merrimack valley by providing a network of high quality, comprehensive health care services and by training health care professionals who can respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.
Programs
2 programs
Lawrence family medicine residency - the first accredited community health center sponsored family medicine residency program. Affiliated with tufts and umass, we currently train over 40 medical residents annually. The health center has 239 alumni who are working in underserved communities all over the country, many in leadership roles.
Pharmacy - the family pharmacy offers discounted medications to qualifying patients and is open to the public. The health center has six pharmacy sites and filled 522,000 prescriptions for a vulnerable population.
