This organizations mission is to promote Chinese culture and Chinese education and to enrich civic and social activities in the Greater Memphis area and surrounding communities.
Programs

2019 marked the establishment of our educational endowment fund. This was part of the goals of Greater Memphis United Chinese Association when it was incorporated in 2003. The main purpose of this endowment is to provide financial support to the mission and activities set in the organization charter especially to satisfy the need for the Chinese School. The fund was from multiple individual donors and businesses in the Memphis Chinese community.
Every year Greater Memphis United Chinese Association organizes a Memphis Dragon Boat Festival at Hyde Lake Shelby Farms Park Memphis TN. This year it was held on June 1. As in the prior years the festival features boat racing dance performances live music and lots of food. This event dedicated to promoting cultural heritage fostering cultural exchange and strengthening community cohesion.
GMUCA plan to hold the first Lunar New Year Fair in 2025. This fair will attract local vendors to display and sell their products and services. This would be a great opportunity to present different cultures and enrich the civic life in Greater Memphis Community. Expenses on Line 4d for the total of $34432.41 are for the coming activity. $11,950 is the donation of the coming event.
