Move Redmond organized the opening celebration for the 2 line Overlake Village Light Rail Station. This event highlighted the importance of the new light rail station and the many ways to access the light rail. The event provided many resources including station access maps, ORCA cards for Free Youth and $25 ORCA cards for adults, practice bike/ bus rack, and the Community Van. The event featured family-friendly activities and food. The event drew over 35,000 attendees and built support for transit ridership and education on transportation options in Redmond.
