Washington council on international trade ("wcit") works to promotestrong, open, and sustainable international trade policies thatadvance economic opportunities for washington state. Wcit advocatesfor pro-trade policies at the federal level by focusing on traderelatedissues. Wcit is also an information resource on internationaltrade issues for elected representatives, business leaders, the media,educators, and community groups in washington state. Wcit became aspecial program of the chamber on june 1, 2011, when the net assets ofthis previously inactive independent entity were transferred to the chamber.
