Mission

The mission of green hill center for nc art is to promote the visual arts of north carolina by engaging a broad community of artists, adults and children through dynamic exhibitions and educational programs while providing a platform for exploration and investment in art.

Programs

1 program

Greenhill's studios are dynamic, hands-on spaces with artmaking tools and supplies, from clay to recycled materials, readily available to spark one's imagination in our self-driven environment. The arts education team encourages all visitors, children and adults alike, to have fun, explore and express ideas through their own works of art. The studios are welcoming and community-building, where children and families can make art together and make new friends. Gallery connection projects in the studios are integrated with the exhibition program, introducing visitors to themes and processes found in artwork in the gallery and shop. Daytime hours are focused primarily on children and families, but adults have programs geared toward their creative development and enjoyment too. The studios are opened for children and families during regular operating hours. Admission fee to the studios is $7.00 per adult / $7.00 per child. Children 12 months and under are free. Admission is free with household level membership or higher. Workshops and class fees vary.
