Maintain a current collection of books, periodicals, magazines, reference materials, cds and videos for public use. Provide a children's reading program.

Greene county library provides a children's reading program at their facility. The number of children served in 2024 were 3,497. This included a variety of in-person children's storytime activities.the library continues to support the charlie may simon reading program (used in the public schools as well). Books are ordered that meet the criteria and are made available in the library for children to read. These books are for children up through the 6th grade. The library also supports the arkansas diamond reading program and the arkansas teen choice book list for kids in the junior and senior high age groups.
