The corporation is organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes specified in 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, including educational and charitable purposes. The corporation is comprised of committed and dedicated volunteers who have bonded together for the purpose of protecting citizens and property in the greenleaf community and surrounding areas serviced by the corporation. The volunteers of the corporation are the communities' first line of defense who provide professional, rapid, humanitarian aid that is essential to the health, safety and well-being of the residents in the greenleaf community and surrounding areas serviced by the corporation. The corporation accomplishes its exempt purpose through the training, education and development of its members by its commitment to developing proficiencies in the areas of search, rescue, fire prevention and suppression, hazardous mitigation, public safety education and other related activities. The corporation accomplishes its exempt purpose through the training, education and development of its members by its commitment to developing proficiencies in the areas of search, rescue, fire prevention and suppression, hazardous mitigation, public safety education and other related activities. The corporation also furthers its exempt purpose by conducting fire inspections and providing public safety information and fire educational materials to the citizens that reside within the greenleaf community and surrounding areas serviced by the corporation and by assuring that the corporation has a sufficient number of members to carry out the exempt purposes of the corporation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
