Mission
Operate historic museum for the public. Conduct events highlighting items of historic significance. Carry on programs on historic education. Involvement in and support of local community preservation and restoration projects.

Special events of a historic nature open to the public are held by the society. Examples include 1 annual tour of historic homes 2 annual tour of the Hook and Ladder cemetery including presentations about notable individuals interred there 3 annual Valentines Day wedding ceremonies. Approximately 500-600 people attend these events. Monthly membership meetings and educational programs.
