GOSA's mission is to protect and preserve open space and water resources in Southeastern CT, provide public access for passive recreation, and to educate the public.

Stewardship: Funds were used for lumber, screws, bolts, treads, and a cart to carry them to the sites where ramps and other improvements were made to 3 bridges. A battery powered hedge trimmer was purchased for clearing vegetation along trails.
Field Trip Bussing: Funding was provided to bus Groton Public School children to GOSA properties for hiking field trips. The program allowed students to experience the outdoors and gain an appreciation of nature.
