And its subsidiaries, and their immediate families who suffer hardship due to a natural disaster, emergency hardship, extended illness, injury, fire, flood, or special situation that is beyond their control. The assistance is intended to help each affected individual meet short-term expenses incurred for basic living items, such as food, clothing, health, and housing. The amount of financial assistance available to each affected individual depends on a determination of need, including the size of the individual's family and the type of hardship involved.
