Groveland Emergency Food Shelf, Inc. operates, in collaboration with Minneapolis Community & Technical College (aka Minneapolis College), a satellite food shelf on the MCTC campus. Close to 228 individuals benefited from the Minneapolis College Food Pantry each week. Almost 51,000 lbs of food were distributed by the Pantry in 2024.
Groveland began a new collaboration in 2020 with Liberty Community Church in N. Minneapolis. This collaboration takes several forms. 1) Grants were made to the church's emergency fund designated for food relief, 2) Fresh produce, meats and other perishables were provided for meals to students of the church's 21st Century Academy, an after-school program. There were at various times 50-100 students being served three meals a week.
