Mission

The mission of the first tee program is to give young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life enhancing values such as honesty, integrity, and sportmanship through golf.

Programs

2 programs

The first tee - naples/collier elementary school team golf program consists of 12 elementary schools in collier county. Through a tryout process run by our chapter and schools, each elementary school selects a maximum of 10-12 players to represent their elementary school team. If more than 10-12 students qualify, the school forms two teams of 10 players each. The teams are made up of boys and girls. Prior to each match, six players are selected to represent their school in a match; the four lowest scores out of six players are counted as the "team" score for each match. The golf match competition consists of 4-5 holes, 2 times a week for each team for six weeks. Each competion starts at 4:00 pm and consists of two - three teams. An elementary school golf championship tournament is held on the saturday after.
