Programs
1 program
With the support of many volunteers serving in various capacities, Skagit Habitat for Humanity operates a thrift store selling used building material and other household items. The Store has provided a resource for the public, including builders, to donate and purchase usable materials. The Store raises funds to help sustain our programs as well as provides opportunities for individuals. We partner with agencies and individuals in and around Skagit County to provide work training to underserved individuals, providing learning opportunities for job training, evaluation, and valuable employable skill sets. The job training/evaluations allow individuals to gain experience in a retail and warehouse environment, with the expectation of leveraging this experience into future employment. We have expanded our paid staff through individuals from these programs.
