Habitat restore: habitat for humanity capital district operates a home improvement retail store where we sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home decor and building materials. In fiscal year 2024, the restore raised funds to build homes and strengthen neighborhoods in the capital district, prevented 396 tons of material from ending up in the landfill and provided home improvement goods to the public at an affordable price, thereby expanding access to home improvement and repair opportunities.

Financial and homebuyer education programs: habitat works with families to help them acquire the access, skills and financial education necessary for successful, long-term homeownership. In fiscal year 2024, habitat served 101 people through applicant meetings and orientations, 20 people through financial literacy training, three households through home maintenance training and provided nearly 300 people with targeted referrals to other housing agencies and services. Habitat for humanity capital district qualified and prepared 10 homebuyers for successful homeownership through habitat's program.
