ReStore-------HSCNJ operates 3 retail stores for home furnishings and building materials. Items are donated by corporate partners and local residents, then sold to the public at discounted prices. Staff and volunteers pick up and unload donations, assemble and clean items, and organize the floor to keep merchandise flowing for easy customer access.
Construction ------------HHSCNJ assists homeowners and communities in regaining stability by ensuring homes are safe, modern, and accessible. Low and moderate-income homeowners can receive exterior repairs performed by trade professionals, Habitat staff, and volunteers, while only paying a portion of the project cost. These repairs range from minor tasks like porch repair and painting to major projects such as roofing and appliance replacement, as well as accessibility improvements like ramps, railings, and door handles. To qualify, applicants must live in the home as their primary residence and intend to remain there for at least three years.
Volunteer Services - Habitat Volunteers are the backbone of Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey. Their dedication and hard work enable us to build homes, communities, and hope for families in need. Each year, hundreds of volunteers contribute thousands of hours to our projects, from construction sites to our ReStores. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds, bringing a wealth of skills and a shared commitment to making a difference,. Their efforts not only help build safe and affordable homes but foster a sense of community and empowerment among the families we serve.
