Habitat operates the habitat for humanity restore (the "restore"), a retail operation where home furnishings, appliances, and other miscellaneous items are donated and then sold to the community at a greatly reduced price. Revenue is recognized by habitat at the date the goods are sold. The restore is operated with the sole purpose of generating funds to assist in the organization's main purpose of building houses.
