Habitat restores are independently owned reuse stores operated by local habitat for humanity organizations. Restores accept donations and sell a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price, while diverting reusable household items and building materials from area landfills.sales of donated items help habitat for humanity partner with local families to build, rehabilitate and repair safe and affordable homes.

Home preservation program: our home preservation program assists low- and moderate-income homeowners, including veterans and seniors, who are affected by age, disability or other circumstances and struggle to maintain the integrity of their homes. Projects consisting of interior and/or exterior repairs address health, safety, code violation, and affordability issues of individual residences. Lexington habitat staff members, subcontractors, and volunteers complete the repairs. Since inception of the home preservation program, lexington habitat has partnered with 96 local homeowners, including 11 homeowners served during fy2024.
