Habitat for humanity of southwest alabama's mission is to help eradicate substandard housing and to have a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward this mission by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing.

The restore is a discount home improvement center that sells new and used home improvement items to the public and these funds are used to provide affordable housing solutions. In addition, the restore furthers the habitat mission by allowing families who do not have the funds to afford typical rehab opportunities fix up their homes. Restore also has an environmental component by keeping items that would typically end up in a landfill and having them be reused.
