Mission

Provide access to homeownership opportunities for households earning between 30-80% of the area median income. By providing increased homeownership access, habitat greensboro assists in building and strengthening our community.

Programs

2 programs

Restore services: the restore was closed on may 4, 2024. Habitat greensboro's restore exists to provide revenue to support the affordable homeownership mission and to provide home furnishings, appliances, building materials, and other items to the public at a significantly reduced cost. Businesses and individuals donate new and used items to the store. Homeowners and others volunteer in the store, keeping the operating expenses as low as possible.

Expenses: $844K

Financial and homebuyer education program: as part of the homeownership process, we believe financial education builds a more solid foundation for long-term personal success and helps alleviate any concerns or barriers on the path to homeownership. During these financial education classes, covered topics include budgeting; credit cards and credit reports; debt and loans; saving, investing and planning for the future; emergency situations; and habitat homeowner mortgages. A more in-depth understanding of these important concepts is a tool that can be used to build a better future.
