Hcdp supports self-sustaining development projects to promote spiritual and physical well-being in the artibonite valley, haiti. We believe that partnership grounded in trust is the key for sustaining long term development. Through an effective partnership, our goal is to empower the people of haiti not simply to have more, but to be more, spreading the good news of jesus christ as they go.
Programs
5 programs
Relief- humanitarian and food insecurity relief in response to famine, natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and droughts, pandemics such as cholera and covid-19, civil unrest, and trade disruptions.
Evangelism - a radio program for the artibonite valley on bible teaching is provided. Seminars are conducted for area preachers and church leaders to improve biblical understanding and practice. Various support programs for existing churches, church plants, and indigenous ministers, including transportation for experienced preachers to go to newer churches.
Housing-construction of housing and educational facilities in selected areas near gonaives, haiti, including the investigation of new types of inexpensive construction.
Medical relief - through visiting health care professionals, and an on-site health educator, medical relief is provided throughout the western artibonite valley, and specifically in the towns of gonaives, poteau, gros morne, nan pol, and bangnol. With small medical fees, preventative training and immunizations are provided.
Demonstration farm - maintenance and improvements to acreage in bois marchand, haiti, which is used for demonstration of appropriate farming and animal husbandry techniques for citizens from across haiti. The farm is also the home for the management of an animal gifting program.
