Curing and preventing blindness: haiti eye mission is the only eye care team that travels to certain regions of the island of hispaniola with annual mission trips to fight preventable and treat curable blindness. The team provides eye screenings, eyeglass and sunglass dispensing, cataract and glaucoma surgery, and medical treatment of eye diseases to over 1,400 residents of the island of hispaniola annually.
