Hand 2 Mouth

International program: hand2mouth has recently completed the pilot year of our new international cultural diplomacy program, funded by the u.s. Department of state. This initiative draws on our unique history of working with the us state department as arts envoys and our experience partnering with international ngos, local artists and civic partners to organize, fund and lead international collaborative theatre touring projects. This program served 450 youth in armenia, egypt, ethiopia, the republic of georgia, lebanon, namibia, peru and serbia. We anticipate that future iterations will serve 6-12 nations each year, with a particular emphasis on countries where these resources are more difficult to access, such as those with complex racial or religious divides, fledgling democracies, authoritarian governments, struggling economies, or those emerging from lengthy periods of armed conflict.

Public platform: co-produced projects with curated local artists in which h2m provides a platform to amplify new voices and perspectives within the community. Public platform's 2023 highlights include "memnto mori", company created "what brings you here?", which is a youth devising project.

Sponsorship: hand2mouth is providing fiscal sponsorships to members of the community fostering productions as well the growth of new spaces where expressive works can be performed. In 2023 fiscal sponsorships were provided to girls in trouble: the musical, morivivi theatre, as well as others.
