Hand to hold provides personalized support before, during and after a nicu stay to help ensure all nicu families thrive.

Mobile app & online communities hand to holds mobile app provides equitable access to free support across the us. Nicu parents can connect one-to-one with hand to hold family support specialists, access to hand to holds support services and find community all in the palm of their hand. Hand to hold online communities provide a closed, private space for parents and family members who share a range of nicu experiences to ask questions, share information and feelings, and find community in a safe, supportive environment. In 2024, the mobile app and online communities provided 21,993 sessions of support.

Counseling hand to hold offers free time limited counseling treatment services in english and spanish for nicu parents and/or couples in texas and florida looking to process their birth experience or seek treatment for possible perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. In 2024, the counseling support program provided 884 sessions of support.

Virtual support groups hand to hold virtual support groups are faciliated several times each week by hand to hold family support specialists on the confidential zoom platform and available for a variety of affinity groups including current nicu families, nicu graduate families, bereaved families, nicu dads, spanish speaking families and more. Virtual support groups allow families to access support at all stages of the nicu journey, from the comfort and safety of their own home or without leaving the bedside of their nicu baby.

Peer mentor support program the hand to hold peer mentor program carefully matches trained nicu-graduate and bereaved peer mentors with new parents in need of support based on their specific needs. Peer support has been shown in studies to enhance feelings of safety and trust, aid in coping and help parents to feel less alone.
