Maine medical education trust (the organization) is a maine nonprofit corporation, organized to promote, sponsor, organize, and conduct projects, programs, and related organizational undertakings whose primary purpose and objectives are the improvement and upgrading of medical practice through education and training; to assist and encourage individuals in their pursuit of education in the field of health care; to promote, encourage, sponsor, organize and conduct programs and projects for physicians and other health providers; to promote, sponsor, organize, and conduct projects that promote and protect the public health; to publish and distribute general health information to interested parties and the general public; to support medical schools; and to support the rehabilitation of impaired physicians.
