Harmony community cares adademic enrichment ae programs are free to all school-aged children who chose to enroll k-8th grade, once a week during each school year, hcc offers both 1 in-person tutoring through which students work with volunteer tutors through homework help, extra instruction, and reading enrichment and 2 community arts, which includes creative movement, music, and visual arts through three 12-week sessions to strengthen childrens emotional and behavioral skills necessary for school success. Children entrolled in the tutoring and/or community arts receive hot meals during each session those in the community arts program also benefit from cultural field trips in the city of chicago during the summer. In addition, hcc also provides an 8-week summer intensive reading clinic that addresses inequities in literacy by working with children four days per week to strengthen their reading ability typically by at
