To respond to motivational youth and recreational needs, providing a vehicle for community development, and providing activities that will expose community residents to the harris county park system.

Cdf freedom school - to address summer reading loss and covid-19 related learning challenges, street olympics partners with precinct one and the children's defense fund to bring the cdf freedom schools program to two community centers in houston. Serving up to 100 k-12 students, the program offers high-quality academic enrichment, family engagement, civic involvement, leadership development, and wellness support. This holistic approach helps students recover academically and equips families with tools to support learning year-round.

Discovery camp - to provide low-income children in harris county with access to high-quality science, stem, and environmental education, the free one-day discovery camp serves up to 1,000 youth ages 5-13. The camp offers hands-on learning through natural habitats, live animals, crafts, games, and technology. By offering this free program, it helps foster curiosity, environmental stewardship, and future leaders in sustainability and environmental justice, especially for families who cannot afford expensive summer programs.
