To foster camaraderie among united states veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military, and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans
Programs
3 programs
Patriotic days is a program the vfw carries out on several days at our facility and in the community. It includes national holidays including veterans day, flag day, and memorial day. The recognition of patriotic days is a requirement of the vfw. When funding is necessary donations and the canteen fund these events. The vfw also purchases and distributes flags to other organizations such as local churches to place on the graves of service members and veterans. This is carried out by various members.
Unmet needs is a special fund to help veterans in need of assistance. Any veteran can apply for these funds.several veterans recieved assistance through this program in the 2024 calender year.
Childrens community outreach. This is conducted by members and the auxillary. It includes a childrens christmas party for the children of veterans. Toys are donated by members. An easter party for veterans children is also included in this program.
