Provision of prevention programming (drug-free communities). Hcc offered a number of educational opportunities and awareness events to youth and the general public including youth and teen mental health first aid, keeping kids safe on the internet, and suicide prevention education.

Since 2015, the hcc block party celebrates hartford's social, nonprofit and youth rescources and programing. It showcases performances of music, dance and other activities available to children in the town of hartford.
