Cbe's members bring a wide range of experiences and skillsets to the table, making up case teams with valuable expertise in fields ranging from biotechnology and cloud computing to water management and battery power. The casework falls into four main areas: marketing strategy, product and consumer research, market entry, and competitive analysis that is tailored to fit each customer with full use of harvard's resources including harvard business school's library, professors, and alumni. The deliverables on a typical case include a presentation with final recommendations accompanied by a detailed research report. Harvard undergraduate cbe has completed over 120 cases to date, and the organization students' analysts have gone on to work at top consulting and technology firms around the world after graduating. Contributed services from volunteers' students and students board members are recognized in the accompanying financial statements when they do meet the above criteria for recognition. During the year ended december 31, 2022, the organization reported in-kind donations from students and board members for case research and analysis or contributed services in the amount of 583,392. There are 100+ students, each of whom are an analyst, associate, case team leader, and board members, averaging 8-9 hours a week during the school year.
