Nani No o Waikiki A musical presentation, produced, directed, and managed by HMPS and funded in part by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. It was a journey through time where we shared mele, moolelo, and hula of the Waikiki ahupuaa. All performers demonstrated the art of pilina. The quartet displayed their mastery of making music, while harmonizing to the lilting songs of Hawaii. Hula told the moolelo. Listeners left with a deeper understanding of Waikiki her history, her mele, her people.
Live Hawaiian Music at Kai Coffee HMPS presented a weekly music series at Kai Coffee Waikiki, showcasing award-winning and emerging Hawaiian musicians. The performances provided intimate access to authentic mele Hawaii, connecting audiences with artists and perpetuating Hawaiis musical traditions in a welcoming community setting.
