Healing Hands Community Birthing Project

The $25,000 unrestricticted grant funds are being used are to support trainees with birth stipends.

We received a grant from copic medical foundation in 2023 to train 10 pchws in houston. We have trained 8 trainees through this grant ( 2 in central texas who have completed training) 2 in houston who have completed training, and the final 4 are completing their preceptorships. We have hired the 2 central texas trainees and are applying for funding to hire the 6 pchw trainees in houston this year. Our pchw curriculum is still pending with the texas department of state health services.
