See schedule ohqp administers the primary care and behavioral health integration program. Health centers participating in this program served 1,607 adults, which included 3,018 therapy visits and $53,226 in psychiatric medication and medication management services. Twenty-two percent (22%) of these participants enrolled in medi-cal within their first four months with the program. Approximately 227 primary care and behavioral health providers from health centers received medication-assisted treatment and substance use disorders training

See schedule oin fy 23-24, providers participating in the oral health initiative (ohi) provided care coordination services to 3,538 high-risk children ages 0-5. Hqp administered the program's treatment fund that provided $64,144 to health centers providing treatment to uninsured children

Health center-controlled network funding from hrsa was used to support health centers in leveraging health information technology (it) and data to deliver high-quality, culturally competent, equitable, and comprehensive primary health care, with a specific focus on improvements in: clinical quality, patient-centered care, and provider and staff well-being.

The socal optimization of sbirt (sos) project, which began in november 2018 and ran for five years, uniformly optimizes and standardizes screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (sbirt) services at fqhcs in san diego, riverside, and imperial counties to prevent and reduce alcohol and other substance misuse among adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults (ages 18+) in primary care and community health settings. The five health centers participating in this program conducted 16,706 screenings in fy24 to identify patients with alcohol and other drug misuse disorders. This project was fully funded through a grant awarded by the substance abuse and mental health services administration (samhsa) center for substance abuse treatment (csat) of the u.s. Department of health and human services (hhs). The 5- year project concluded in april 2024.

In collaboration with research partners at the ucsd moores cancer center, hqp concluded the mailed fit intervention component of a five-year nih/nci funded research study titled "accelerating colorectal cancer screening and follow-up through implementation science (accsis)". This study contributed to enhanced colorectal cancer (crc) screening for patients at two participating member health centers. This study was supported by the national cancer institute of the national institutes of health under award number uh3ca233314.

Hqp has many other programs including administering funds so health centers can hire navigators to enroll patients in medicaid and covered california. Medicaid enrollment was supported by the california department of health care services and cms. Covered california enrollment was supported by the california's health benefit exchange. There were 2,937 enrollments into covered california. The cms-funded connecting kids to coverage program achieved 1,996 new child medi-cal enrollments 1,178 renewal applications during the fiscal year.
