Seeks to define a rural public health model that reduces historically poor health outcomes by addressing social determinants of health through the leveraging of community collaboration & parnterships as the foundation for individual, institutional & community wellness.

Healthy nevada was approved $75,000 in arpa funds from the city for our youth diversion program. $31250.00 was used to start the program. This program provides support within the nevada r-5 school system to youth and their families who have youth exhibiting at-risk behaviors. Resourses to families are offered to provide guidance in developing skills, changing behaviors and holding youth accountable for their actions. $5814.88 was spent on this program in 2022.
Mental health/trauma informed program: provided $48,482.35 to support the mental health/trauma informed school projects. A trauma informed conference was presented to the nevada r-5 school district in january 2020. Beginning in july 2020, my mind, my body, my power program was launched in 9 schools providing stress management/trauma informed education and materials, fidget packets for students and teachers, and furniture to furnish calm rooms for each school.
