Adult day and employment programs: heartshare's day and employment programs for adults with i/dd are tailored to meet the needs, goals and desires of individual program participants. More than 500 adults received day program services and more than 30 received prevocational and supported employment services via 17 separate programs across brooklyn, queens and staten island. Day programs focus on offering community volunteer experiences, recreational and cultural activities, along with site-based training and supports. Prevocational and semp program to prepare people for the world of work and assist them in obtaining and maintaining employment.

Early childhood services: heartshare's early childhood services help children with autism and other developmental disabilities build a strong foundation for their futures. This happens through (1) evaluation services and (2) pre-school programs. Specific services include special education services in a classroom setting, physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, music and art therapy, recreational activities, computers in the classrooms, and parent education and support. More than 600 children benefitted from these services offered at either the evaluation center, or at one of the four preschools (located in brooklyn and queens).
