Early childhood services: heartshare's early childhood services help children with autism and other developmental disabilities build a strong foundation for their futures. This happens through (1) evaluation services and (2) pre-school programs. Specific services include special education services in a classroom setting, physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, music and art therapy, recreational activities, computers in the classrooms, and parent education and support. More than 600 children benefitted from these services offered at either the evaluation center, or at one of the four preschools (located in brooklyn and queens).
