Heartland's mission is to build a more compassionate community by teaching humane messages to our youth, caring for homeless animals and strengthening the human-animal bond.

Heartland provides education of the public on pet ownership responsibilities. This program provides training to the public on pet ownership and control of the animal population, humane education on bite prevention, basic animal care, and development of empathy in youth. This program works with students and youth clubs to instill an appreciation of animals and volunteerism.
