Mission
Mccormick aims to reduce suicide rates among veterans and strengthen families who include an individual with special needs by expanding access to effective equine-assisted therapies worldwide.
Programs

Research in partnership with the university of central florida school of medicine, the organization conducts research studies to evaluate how equine-assisted therapies can impact individuals with autism and also veterans with ptsd. In this effort, we aim to impact the way insurance companies and the va support this modality of treatment and, in turn, more individuals will benefit from similar services around the world.
Education educational opportunities are offered at the mccormick research institute and include classes for students from the ucf school of medicine, and continuing education programs for medical professionals. As well, the organization offers continuing education credits to health professionals and industry partners.
Veterans recreational the organization is home to a horses and heroes drill team that is showcased at various rodeos and events honoring combat veterans. As well, in the horses & heroes program, veterans with ptsd receive ten weeks of group counseling in an equine-assisted environment.
