The organization's mission is to preserve, protect, and manage greek antiquities - art, artifacts, and antiquities dating from prehistoric times through the dark ages - consistent with the patrimony laws of the hellenic republic. Through gifts, bequests, and loans, the organization is committed to ensuring these cultural treasures are maintained for the public benefit, with the eventual transfer of possession to the nicholas and dolly goulandris foundation -museum of cycladic art, where they can be further studied, exhibited, and appreciated.
