Help of southern nevada's adult housing programs operates five housing programs dedicated to assisting chronically homeless individuals and families with documented disabilities. These programs provide housing and intensive case management, focusing on supportive services that help clients overcome barriers, stabilize their mental health and/or substance use, and work toward self-sufficiency. Utilizing a housing first and harm reduction approach, the programs offer scattered-site housing and comprehensive case management to promote long-term stability and independence. In fy24, ahp assisted 488 clients in 377 households with 86 households achieving stable exits from the program.

Help of southern nevada's shannon west homeless youth center (swhyc) provides services for at-risk youth, age 16-24, that are homeless or at- risk of becoming homeless. Swhyc provides safe and stable housing, basic needs/food, intensive case management, person centered case plan, housing stability plan, education assistance, employment assistance, assistance in transitioning to own apartment, addiction and mental health services, health and wellness, financial literacy, activities of daily living and supportive services. At capacity swhyc can house 130 youth. During fy24, swhyc served 536 youth, of which 348 exited to safe and stable housing. Swhyc is certified to provide level 1 outpatient substance abuse and co- occurring treatment and prevention by the state of nevada division of public and behavioral health.

Weatherization assistance the weatherization assistance program was created in 1976 by the u.s. Department of energy (doe) to assist low-income families who lacked resources to invest in energy efficiency. Help of southern nevada has been providing weatherization services in southern nevada for over 30 years. These services are free of charge for our qualifying clients. Help serves low-income clients with a focus on elderly, families with children, and the most vulnerable during hvac emergencies. The program provides measures such as heating and air conditioning repair or replacement, water heater and oven replacement, solar screens, attic insulation, refrigerators, weather- stripping, low-flow showerheads, and other energy saving measures. Over 260 homes were served in fy24. Energy share is a weatherization program made available through donations for low-income southwest gas customers experiencing an unexpected financial hardship. Assistance is provided to qualified southwest gas customers with the payment of their gas bill and/or emergency repair or replacement of certain natural gas equipment. Homeless response teams the homeless response teams consist of five teams: mcit (mobile crisis intervention team), path (projects for assistance in transition from homelessness), co (callout), link (linkages, intervention, navigation, knowledge) and henderson. All five teams conduct interventions, abatements and health and safety checks throughout all jurisdictions to encourage homeless individuals and families living in places not meant for human habitation to engage in services. In fy24, hrt conducted 2,721 outreaches and offered services to 11,989 individuals. Workforce services the workforce services department provides pre-employment services that empower participants to enter or re-enter the labor market. Workshops, support groups and networking, one-to-one personal or vocational counseling, training, job-seeking and job-keeping methods, leadership development, decision-making skills development and assistance with developing an action plan are among the resources used to help participants build confidence, identify skills and seek training or employment. 554 clients were served in fy24 across wfs programs. Workforce services displaced homemaker program offers free assistance to anyone who has recently lost his or her primary source of income due to job lay-offs, divorce, death or disability. Through the displaced homemaker program, workforce services assists both men and women to evaluate their current employment needs, then offers workshops to sharpen job seeking skills as well as helping with job referrals and placements. Workforce services out-of-school youth program is for young adults aged 16 to 24 and assists them with specialized work-based learning/work experience training. Through this program they are assisted in obtaining work in high growth industries, retaining such employment, and if needed attaining their high school diploma or an equivalent. Workforce services nevada youth first program is designed for young adults and adults ages 16-years and older, and for those interested in working in the early childhood education career field and is inclusive of pre-schools and day cares. Through this program we assist clients complete the required trainings to work in this career pathway and assist them secure and retain employment. Framing hope warehouse framing hope warehouse offers low-cost home and building supplies to non- profit organizations through a partnership with good360, the leader in product philanthropy. The help of southern nevada framing hope warehouse is part of a nationwide network of local and national companies that offers new and like-new product donations to the non-profits that need them the most. Many of these items help support our homeless client's needs, pregnant and parenting mothers, as well as help's shannon west youth center. As of june 30, 2024, there were 67 registered members of the network. The framing hope warehouse allows retail partners to donate and repurpose discontinued merchandise that would otherwise be destroyed or sent to a landfill. These donated items allow partner charities to complete community and client projects more affordably, allowing them to focus resources on their core missions. Behavioral health within each program, help offers behavioral health services, which consists of comprehensive behavior health services utilizing evidence based practiced to assist clients in achieving their goals. Help sees clients on a telehealth basis for substance abuse and mental health services. Services provided include mental health assessments, substance abuse assessments, behavioral health screenings, individual therapy, and crisis management. Behavioral health services supports all other programs throughout the organization in regards to case conferencing, crisis management, and providing training. 370 unique clients were seen in fy24.
