Helping Hands Unlimited

Hhu works with programs that focus on helping children and families in the dominican republic. Hhu currently works with two orphanages with financial support and help with special needs. Hhu operates a program to help older children transition out of the orphanages into their adulthood. Hhu helps families with special medical needs, such as a father needing heart valve replacement surgery, or a mother and small child who was blind and had some physical handicaps since birth. Hhu also helped distribute food in several impoverished haitian communities in the dominican republic. Hhu also constructed a building that will be used as a church, community center, and storm shelter for occasional hurricanes.

Hhu partnered with faith in community aiders in zimbabwe to address the critical needs of starving children in rural communities. This urgent need resulted from years of severe drought and famine, which left many families unable to feed their children. Malnutrition not only stunted growth and health, but in some cases, led to death. Our program initially focused on providing daily meals to approximately 1,000 vulnerable children. In addition to nutritional support, we provided education on health, sanitation, good citizenship, respect for parents, and spiritual values. Through several years of consistent effort in multiple locations, we have seen significant improvement in the childrens overall health and wellbeing, resulting in a positive impact on their families and communities.
