Provide programs of practical, social & spiritual value to the people in the developing world.

Health care: helps' health care program is working to fill the gaps in health care & bring hope to rural areas of guatemala. Utilizing a network of u.s. Based volunteer medical teams, helps is providing preventive care, surgery & community education to underserved communities. Each team consists of 65 - 100 volunteers including physicians, nurses, interpreters, dentists, technicians & support staff who travel to remote areas with severely restricted access to health care. These medical teams provide full service including clinics, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, dental & radiology. Since 1994 helps teams have provided care to more than 349,200 patients. In 2024 helps medical teams provided care to 9,302 patients across guatemala.

Agriculture: more than 26,000 farming families have participated in helps' agricultural program since 2005. In 2024 the program served 1,742 farmers.

Expenses: $320K

Education: helps international's education program is teaching the next generation of guatemalan leaders in the small, rural village of santa avelina where poverty & illiteracy rates are extremely high. In santa avelina the helps program offers to pre k through grade 6 instruction. Helps also offers extracurricular enrichment activities and teacher training. More than 3,500 students have participated in helps education program. Helps served 199 students in 2024.
