Volunteer Advocates: CASA Advocates speak up for children from birth through eighteen years old, ensuring their voices are heard in critical decisions about their lives. Each Advocates complete 40 hours of classroom training and conducts independent in-depth assessments of safety, risk, and family dynamics. This past year: 101 active advocates served to cases; 2267 hours of contining education were completed; 10,265 volunteer hours weer logged, including 22,125 documentedcontacts with children, families and professionals; and these efforts collectively generated an estimated taxpayer savings of $342,646 in Henrico County.

Reporting:Each Advocate submits a comprehensive report to the Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, outlining the child's circumstances, findings from their investigation, tailored recommendations that promote long=term safety and family stabilty. Report outcomes include: 124 advocates submitted 461 reports and attended 453 hearings; 98% of CASA recommendations were adopted and included into court orders; and 100% of closed cases resulted in children placed in safe, stable homes.
