Agriculture leadership activities the henry county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local acricultural civic & community organizations. Leaders attend district state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications and agriculture activities.

Youth leadership awareness the henry county farm bureau sponsors and organized a youth farm festival yearly where some 400 elementary school children go around to different agricultural booths and see how their food and fiber is grown, taken care of, and harvested. This is an eyeopening experience for these children who are several generations removed from the farm. This festival lets them know how important agriculture is to sustaining life as we know it.
